After 20 years, Greenheck’s existing product center showroom was dated and needed a redesign to meet their growing requirements. Known as being a world-class leading manufacturer of air-movement, control and conditioning equipment, they needed a modern, high-tech showroom to showcase their most innovative products.
The challenges of the project included coordinating design, which also dovetailed into the construction phasing, which took an enormous amount of planning from the project team. It was important to identify the specific needs and requirements for all the different product business units. There are seven distinct areas, comprising five different business units, as well as the company store and legacy theater.
Each space needed to have its own identity, while the design of all the spaces needed to be cohesive. As each business unit had their specific space needs and requirements, having great visual sight lines into the business units was a must to keep visual stimulation for the space. Having sound isolation of each business unit was also necessary to ensure that each area maintained a non-distracting element.
