Estimating / Budgeting
An extensive file of unit costs from past projects enables us to provide accurate detailed estimates. Using an electronic database of material suppliers and subcontractors, we solicit bids for all trades of work, competitively bidding 85-95% of the total cost of each project using real market-tested data which we then transparently share with all clients.
Ellis Construction uses a collaborative approach to the value engineering process. Estimators, project managers and the principal-in-charge work with the owner and project architect to research costs and present them with value engineering options. Ellis Construction also turns to our vast material supplier and subcontractor network for their expertise in soliciting value-engineering proposals.
Ellis Construction will represent our client’s interest while working with municipalities, advocating for regulatory and zoning decisions, providing project analyses and strategic messaging for legislative approval, as well as assisting with public finance-related matters, most notably, TIF Districts and the financial incentives related to them. Ellis Construction also assists at the state and federal level if necessary.
