Abbotsford Eau Pleine Water Treatment Plant
Abbotsford, WI
Delivery Method: General Contractor
Engineer/Architect: Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc.
This project required specialized materials and techniques, from the type of concrete used, to the floor finish and installation process for pumps and filters. The plant can process up to one million gallons of water per day.
With its small footprint with few windows and doors, this 8,800 square-foot building is highly energy efficient, using outside make-up air for aerators, and energy-efficient equipment to minimize operational expenses.

The Wisconsin Chapter of the American Public Works Association gave this project an Honorable Mention award.
