Stevens Point Transit Center

Ellis Construction was given the opportunity to build a new 34,000 square foot facility to house all maintenance, offices, storage and support services for the City’s transit department.

The maintenance area has two service vehicle bays and an automatic bus wash system, along with in-floor radiant heat, while the rest of the building has independent heating to control costs by heating portions of the building as needed.

The bus garage has space for 16 full-size buses and the end wall of the bus garage was constructed so the building can be easily expanded for future needs.
