The Lodge on Lake Camelot

Town of Rome, WI
Delivery Method: Design/Build
Architect: Ellis Construction

The Lake Camelot Lodge project transformed a 7,330-square-foot space, including an addition and renovations to the property owner’s association’s lodge, recreation center, bar, and patio in the Town of Rome, WI. The goal was to increase capacity, enhance aesthetics, improve lake views and expand food and drink offerings.

A 3,000-square-foot addition extended the bar area, adding 1,200 square feet of seating, a prep room, walk-in cooler, freezer, storage, and accessible restrooms. The interior blends rustic wood accents with modern elements like dark stains and black bar tops, appealing to a more refined clientele drawn to the area’s world-class golf courses.

Exterior updates included new siding, roofing, and windows, creating a modern yet inviting Wisconsin lodge feel. The design maximized lake views with varied seating heights and expanded patio space.

Despite challenges like a tight site, utility relocations, and material delays, Ellis Construction maintained operations and met the Memorial Day deadline. The result is a revitalized venue that balances tradition with modern amenities, accommodating over 100 additional patrons.
