Mark Toyota Scion
Delivery Method: Design-Build
Architect: Ellis Construction
As the chosen design build contractor for this 37,363 square foot project, Ellis was charged with charting new territory and blazing a new trail to capture the new Toyota prototype for dealerships.
The challenge of designing the facility to fit Toyota’s prototype, while still under development, required exceptional design creativity, tremendous flexibility and cooperation between our architects, structural engineers, suppliers and subcontractors. Multiple new features were designed that allowed for a spectacular sales floor and showroom space and customer amenities to create a truly remarkable feel. A freestanding portal with aluminum and translucent glass panel construction required innovative design to accommodate sheltering this area. The showroom featured 19-foot-high glass interior walls on three sides.
With 37,363 total square feet, careful workflow and space planning provided all managerial office direct adjacencies and observation of their areas of responsibility.
